Client: European Movement International
Democracy Alive is a campaign film, love letter and a call to arms. A collaboration with spoken word artist Megan Beech, commissioned by the European Movement International to motivate citizens to get out and vote in the 2019 EU elections. It celebrates the freedoms we experience living in democratic societies but makes no bones about spelling out the threat posed by the polarisation of political discourse.
It has a contemporary swagger, designed to reach way beyond the typical audience for political messages of this kind. Which it did, racking up over 300,000 views across the 4-day election period alone.
